
The Oval Invincibles men’s team clinched a convincing 9-wicket victory over London Spirit in the London Derby, securing their position at the top of the #RoadToTheEliminator table.
London Spirit struggled with the bat, managing only 96 runs in 92 balls before fall of 10th wicket. Michael Pepper top-scored with 27 runs off 18 balls, but the team failed to build significant partnerships. Adam Zampa was the standout bowler for the Invincibles, taking 4 wickets and earning the Player of the Match award. Sam Curran and Tom Curran also contributed with 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In response, the Oval Invincibles chased down the target with ease, reaching 100/1 in just 63 balls. After losing Will Jacks early for 2 runs, Jordan Cox and Dawid Malan formed a match-winning partnership. Cox played a blistering innings of 61 not out off 30 balls, including 9 fours and 2 sixes. Malan provided solid support with an unbeaten 29 off 27 balls.
